The leading challenges for contact lens patient compliance are dry eye, allergy, foreign body sensation and inflammation.
These drops contain powerful ingredients to stimulate tear film production, counter-act irritation, halt allergies and reduce foreign body sensation. Homeopathic Calendula is known to support corneal health and is indicated for corneal abrasions and erosions. The clarifying “Thin Drop” is preservative free and used as often as needed to alleviate dry, red, itchy, irritated eyes and is also OK with all contacts. The “Thick Drop” reduces mechanical irritation. Homeopathic drops are safe for children and nursing/pregnant women.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
Both the Thin and Thick drops work similarly. They are a combination of some aspects of the Tear Stimulation Drops and the Allergy Desensitization Drop. In addition, they contain Calendula, which is indicated for corneal health and vitality.
Instill one or two drops in the affected eye(s) upon waking to facilitate lens removal. Use as often as needed throughout the day to alleviate dryness, redness or discomfort.

Q: I CAN BUY EYE DROPS CHEAP IN THE STORES, WHY SHOULD I GO TO MY DOCTOR TO GET NATURAL OPHTHALMICS ORTHO-K EYE DROPS?
Natural Ophthalmics drops are specifically for Ortho-K and contact lens use, there are no comparable drops sold in stores.
Q: HOW OFTEN CAN I USE THESE DROPS?
The Thick Ortho-K Drop is generally used just before going to bed. It can be reinstilled in the middle of the night if needed.
Use the Thin Ortho-K Drops generally first thing upon opening your eyes to moisturize and loosen up the lens for removal, then as often as necessary throughout the day. In fact, you should let your symptoms be your guide. Since these drops stimulate your body’s own ability to eliminate symptoms, you should use them as soon as you notice the symptoms returning.
Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE THIN EYE DROP FORMULA AND THE THICK FORMULA?
There are two Ortho-K eye drop formulas. The homeopathic active ingredients are the same. The Thick Drop formula is in a thick lubricating base to reduce mechanical friction between the eye lid and the lens. The Thin Eye Drop formula is in a very clarifying and soothing base.
Q: HOW ARE THESE DROPS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER EYE DROPS?
Most other eye drops for contact lenses are “Re-wetting Drops” or lubricant artificial replacement tears. Our drops do not attempt to replace tears, but work therapeutically to stimulate your eyes to counteract symptoms. We have made a very specific homeopathic formula to counteract symptoms of: 1- foreign body sensation; 2- dryness; 3- redness; 4- allergy; 5- most importantly a specific ingredient to promote the health of the cornea.
